On the 5 February 1953, Walt Disney released his 14th Animated Feature, Peter Pan.
Hours before the Falcons sink their talons into the Patriots at Super Bowl LI, another type of ferocious beast will be leaving its mark on the field.
Puppy Bowl XIII is set to kick off at 3/2c on Animal Planet, once again pitting longtime rivals Team Ruff and Team Fluff against one another for bragging rights — and, hopefully, a few adoptions along the way.
This year’s halftime performer is none other than controversial songstress Kitty Gaga, who’s taking the field with The Rock Cats for what I imagine will be an unforgettable — and likely provocative — performance. Here’s an early taste of the musical action:

This was my first Culinary Fight Club (CFC) competition! Let me tell you, this event was heaven for any Foodie. Being surrounded by fellow Foodies all while drinking, eating, and enjoying some healthy competition made for a memorable night!
This months theme was Chicago Street Food, CFC brought in six chefs from across the Chicago area to make their interpretation of Chicago street food. It was so incredible to watch as the chefs planed, prepped, and prepared their dishes in under 60 minutes. Watching them from setup of their stations, to stalking the pantry before the competition, to the drawing of the contestant number, and finally the race 45 second race to the pantry all leads up to the main event the competition to create the best dish.
I am most defiantly going to go to another Culinary Fight Club competition! It really sparked the Foodie inside of me!
This Months Chefs
What is Culinary Fight Club?
Culinary Fight Club hosts live cooking competitions. No two events are the same. The teams of cooks race for 45 seconds to choose 15 ingredients from the pantry of food provided by Reinhart Foodservice.
Once the ingredients are collected, each team has 60 minutes to construct a dish that depicts their take on the monthly theme. These Chefs and cooks of all levels around the area compete for a “Golden Ticket,” to advance to the Super Bowl of “food sport” events, the World Food Championships! Once the timer hit 60 minutes, the audience members and judges sample and vote on a winning dish.
The most amazing part about this concept is that the Culinary Fight Club is partnered with Fight2Feed, which 20% of proceeds are donated. This is an organization that partners with top restaurants and food trucks to provide service and support to hungry men, women and children.
And The Winners Are .......
Both winners received their "Golden Ticket,” to advance to the World Food Championships!

The season 5 finale of Once Upon a Time. I have always been impressed with the finales for this show, but this finale fell short for me. To be honest, I barely even remember what happened in both episodes. Besides the snarky comments made by Hook and Zalena. Oh, and of course Emma […]

If you’ve yet to gag on the eleganza of this week’s RuPaul’s Drag Race — and plan to stay off social media until you have — you might want to put off reading this recap. It reveals the winner and then some. The really great thing about tuning in to this week’s eighth season finale…
When I first started Once Upon a Time, I heard that everyone loved Captain Hook. I laughed out loud at them, thinking how crazy they were. I mean, Captain Hook? The same evil pirate with a perm and unruly beard with a rum problem? He’s a handsome hero? No freaking way! Then I went on […]
Last Tuesday night I went to see Disney’s Cinderella and the animated short, Frozen Fever featuring the characters from Frozen. The movie was really well done and had an excellent message about Kindness. This movie was a fine updating of the Cinderella story with a great message. Visually it was a beautiful film with amazing sets and costumes. I also enjoyed the digital short, Frozen Fever. This was a cute short about Elsa creating the perfect birthday for Anna while she (Elsa) was battling a cold.
